Ithaca, NY Waterfront Proposal

I was so excited for this very special proposal: my sister’s! After weeks of concocting strategic cover stories and careful planning with my future brother-in-law, Ben, I flew to Ithaca, NY to photograph this special moment and surprise my sister.

They started with a private picnic at Taughannock Falls State Park, which I captured while hiding in a nearby covered shelter. Soon, Ben led Hannah out to the waterfront and popped the question! I ran out to grab some close-ups, and Hannah was completely shocked.

After taking in the moment, we all headed back over to their picnic area, where they FaceTimed family and friends to share the good news and show off their new rings. Both Hannah and Ben gave each other engagement rings! I love this spin on tradition.

We finished up by taking a mix of relaxed and formal portraits by one of the nearby waterfalls. I’m so grateful to have been able to share this incredible moment with my family.
